Hello, and welcome.
      We are a family company of collectors and enthusiasts, and we’re fortunate in that our hobby is also our business. Wallage Reprints was started in 1988 by Peter Wallage and his late wife Valerie who were disillusioned by the poor quality of photocopied so-called reprints being offered, and some not so cheap either. Peter and Valerie both had backgrounds in writing and publishing, and decided that fellow collectors and enthusiasts deserved something better.

     Wallage Reprints is now run by Peter with help from his son John and daughter in law Wendy. We love searching in secondhand bookshops, boot fairs, charity shops, collectors’ fairs, jumble sales; anywhere where we can find out-of-print books and other hard to find information to reprint for other enthusiasts and collectors.

     Our interests are wide, covering classic cars, classic motorcycles, vintage cycles, classic cameras and photography, vintage wireless and radio, vintage aircraft, vintage railways, old toys and models, old crafts and trades, vintage fashions and furniture, old brochures and advertisements; almost all fields of bygones and collectables.

      Some of our reprints are out-of-print complete books. Others are books we have compiled from a number of different sources. Where material is still in copyright we always seek permission from the copyright holder to reprint it.

     Our books and prints are NOT photocopies.

     All the material is scanned into computers, cleaned up and remastered to A4 size, or completely laid out again. In many cases, the text is completely reset. Line illustrations are cleaned up where necessary. With half-tone photographs we are governed to some extent by the quality of the originals, particularly those printed with a coarse screen on cheap paper where the ink has fudged and spread, but they are all individually scanned in, descreened and processed to obtain what we think is the best reproduction. All our illustrations are perfectly ‘readable’.

      The pages are laser printed to A4 size and bound in wipe-clean heat-seal covers. The pages are stapled before binding so they don’t come loose.
