Their place has been taken by mass-produced plastic artifacts and television. It is not that people today lack the skills, or the ability to learn those skills, the popularity of DIY home improvements is wintness to that, but many of the older crafts have lain dormant for so long that people have forgotten the fascination they can be. Jones from features and answers to readers' queries first published in the weekly journal Work and written by two highly skilled watch and clock repairers who wrote under the pseudonyms of 'G' and 'Horologist', and has been reset by us to A4 size.
